My photography journey starts in 2013 while spending a few months in Nairobi, Kenya. (How was this almost 10 years ago??!! 🤯) I was amazed at how my images impacted people and decided to major in photojournalism at Penn State. A year later, I officially started Hannah Leigh Photography during my senior year of college. I moved my business to Baltimore, MD for a few years and found my focus in wedding photography.

Being a photographer is a true privilege. I’ve met some of the most incredible people, traveled to some amazing places and made life long friends. I love being able to photograph weddings because it allows couples to be present and experience their wedding day without worrying about documenting it. My goal is always to capture the moment so you can be in it.

Now based out of San Francisco, CA — I’m stoked to be photographing couples in one of the most beautiful places in the world. From the Golden Gate Bridge, to the stunning views of Yosemite — I’m so excited to get the backdrop of California and YOU in front of my camera 😍📸

When I’m not photographing couples I’m probably rock climbing, training for another triathlon, teaching spin classes or reading a new book ❤️

Some of our awards

Stephen’s love of photography began as a child when his grandfather took him to photography exhibits. They created images with pinhole cameras his grandfather built and developed the film in his darkroom. After college, Stephen accepted his first wedding commission and have since shot almost 100 weddings in the last decade.

 After 10 years in Wisconsin, Stephen’s family decided to move to California to enjoy more sunshine and time in the outdoors. Having access to great Mexican and Vietnamese food is also a favorite perk! Stephen + his family love spending time anywhere on the coast, at wineries, and hiking in the amazing natural areas of Northern California. 

Stephen’s passion is translating the unique character of a particular place at a particular time into beautiful imagery that can live on as a testament to that moment so it can be enjoyed for years to come.

Ranjith Kankanala is originally from Hyderabad, India and has been working in  films, advertising and weddings for about 7 years. He’s always had an appreciation for films and photography.

Being familiar with videography, photography, editing, Ranjith started playing around with his camera. He enjoy shooting fashion, weddings, branding and family events. Every photoshoot involves a different kind of planning and its a process he really enjoys.

From capturing moments in fast paced weddings to having full control of your shoot in a studio, Ranjith is learning something new with every shoot and each project is unique to him. 

Other than photography, Ranjith enjoys traveling, hiking and cooking!

Anna has always had a passion for photography. As a kid she loved looking at old family photos in her parents basement. She was fascinated by how each image could take her back in time and elicit so many emotions.

In 2011 Anna was first introduced to wedding photography and fell in love with the entire process. Capturing all the emotions on a wedding day is so important to Anna - she knows that years down the road, you too may look through a box of old photos in a basement and be reminded of that incredible moment. 

When Anna isn't photographing weddings, she's raising a gorgeous family. Her and her husband, Aaron, have three kids - Paisley, Joy and Wyatt.

Anna has officially joined the Hannah Leigh Photography team as of 2018. She is currently booking clients in Baltimore, MD and surrounding areas. Natira has been second shooting with me (Hannah) in Baltimore, MD since 2016! We met through a local photography group and instantly bonded over our love for photography and weddings. Natira is an incredible photographer with a gift for capturing those in between moments. A huge reason why she’s my #1 pick as a second shooter on the east coast! And an even bigger reason why she’s joining our team as an associate!

Natira has been shooting weddings for over six years. She has the experience, the skillset and the smile to capturing your wedding day with ease. I’m beyond excited to have her on the team and I know you’re going to love her!
