How to rock your fitness session!

Hey there! So I'm really writing this blog post for the 8 kick ass women I'll be photographing on February 3rd - but I anticipate photographing more amazing women in fitness in the near future, so I thought I'd share this on the blog.

Whether you have 20 minutes or 2 hours with me, the best way to get the most out of your session is to come prepared! Here's how you can totally rock your fitness session:

1. Bring inspiration for posing

Find a fitness brand you love and stalk their catalogs, blogs, Instagram, website, promotions, etc. Brands like Lululemon, Athleta and Outdoor Voices are constantly pushing new content. Take special note of how the women stand, walk, move, pose. And bring that inspo to your session! There will probably come a time where you think, uh oh - I don't know what else to do! No worries, I'm there to help you! But having some inspiration handy to look back on is super helpful and can spur on new ideas!

2. Practice

Ok, this is going to be super awkward but I recommend you practice in front of the mirror! It's tough to know what you look like when you're in front of the camera - practice beforehand so you have an idea for what works best for you!

3. Bring props / A change of clothes

Don't bring your entire wardrobe, but you can totally bring some props and a change of clothes! Water bottle, yoga mat, weights, bands, headphones, etc. Get creative!

4. Do you have a goal for this session?

So for these specific sessions (on Feb 3, 2018) we only have 25 minutes together. What do you want to get out of them? Fitness branded head shots? A sequence of workout moves to post on your blog? If it's something specific, plan it out. Know what we need to get done before you arrive to the studio! And if you just want to have fun in front of the camera, that's totally cool too! You do you girl!

5. On that note, have fun with it

Don't overthink it. Relax. Show up and have a great time!

I'm so pumped to be photographing some really inspiring women on February 3! I can't wait to share some of from the shoot!

xx,

Han
