About me

Hey there! Before we get started planning your big day, let me introduce myself. I am an east coast girl loving my new life as a wedding photographer in San Francisco, California. How did I make my way across the country to this fabulous city?

I’m glad you asked! The answer is simple … I followed the light! I know that sounds silly, but the dreamy California light is unreal and creates the most gorgeous images. San Francisco is truly one of the most beautiful places in the world and I am stoked to photograph couples all over this stunning city.

I believe that being a wedding photographer is a true privilege. Not only do I get to capture some of the most intimate and meaningful moments in a couple’s lives, but I get to meet some incredible people along the way. The people of San Francisco live up to the hype of the super chill Californian, which makes my job as a wedding photographer in San Francisco so enjoyable. They are some of the easiest, most relaxed people and are usually willing to go along with my crazy ideas. Who else gets to have a workday like that? I love this job and can’t wait to make you a part of it!

Approach & Philosophy

It all started in Nairobi, Kenya. I was a young adult, searching for direction in life when I stumbled into photography. What I was able to capture behind the lens of a camera impacted friends and family back home so much that I knew I wanted photography to be a part of my long-term plan. I continued my journey by majoring in photojournalism at Penn State and officially started Hannah Leigh Photography before I graduated.

Traveling around the world and having clients turn into friends is a privilege that I do not take for granted, but it is also a responsibility. I value and understand the trust that is being given to me to make each client’s day memorable and lasting. This is why I love being a wedding photographer in San Francisco-- it allows couples to be present during their wedding day without worrying about documenting it. I capture the moment so that you can be in it.

What to Expect

I want you to experience as much of a stress-free wedding day as possible. I am efficient without compromising quality, which means that you will have beautiful photographs that document your entire day. The intimate one-on-one moments, candids of your family and friends, gorgeous portraits of you and your partner will all be captured without keeping you from the dance floor.

As a wedding photographer in San Francisco, I take every opportunity to photograph couples in that dreamy California light while also capturing the iconic SF views of the bay area and beyond.

As a team, our wealth of experience ensures that your photographs will be taken and delivered in a timely, organized, and professional manner. Between my team and me, we have shot close to 500 weddings! You can bet that we will capture gorgeous, lasting moments that will help you to relive this day over and over.
