Restaurants within Walking Distance from San Francisco City Hall
If you’re hoping to walk to a nearby restaurant or bar, I highly recommend heading toward Hayes Valley! It’s an adorable neighborhood with lots of cute shops and restaurants. Below are a few of my favorite!
Hazies - I really love the vibe of this spot and always enjoy sitting at the bar for a drink with friends. I think Hazies would be great spot for a mid sized group. You can definitely make reservations and the space is fairly large. They have a very approachable menu and an awesome cocktail list (I may know this from experience 😉)
Absinthe - Absinthe is a French inspired restaurant that definitely has a more formal vibe (compared to Hazies). The space feels cozy and romantic. I think it would be perfect for a small group!
Dumpling Home - This spot is first come, first serve. The general vibe is pretty basic but the food - oh my gosh. My partner and I go here about once a month to savor the Xiao long bao and green onion pancake. This would be a cute spot for photos, just you and your partner!
Nightbird - A formal dining restaurant for a high end experience. Attached to Nightbird is Linden Room - a super tiny cocktail bar that is first come first serve. You can usually only squeeze in 4 or less people — but it’s a really cool vibe!
If you’re just looking for cocktails, I really love Anina + Brass Tacks! You could bring a sizable group to either of these spots, or just have an intimate drink at the bar.
SF Restaurants for post ceremony celebrations with a medium-large group
Good Good Culture Club - I went here with a group of friends and we still talk about it to this day. GGCC has a colorful atmosphere and serves comfort food and cocktails. High recommend this spot!
Flour + Water - This is one of my favorite SF restaurants. I had the best spaghetti of my life here! And the cocktails are sooo good! You can reserve the entire back patio - so it’s great for a mid sized group.
San Ho Won - A Korean spot in the Mission. This is one of SF’s best restaurants, expect it to be amazing.
Copra - This spot is a true tropical vibe! A South Indian restaurant that knows how to celebrate!
Penny Roma - An adorable Italian spot in the Mission! This is such a romantic restaurant and would be perfect for post ceremony celebrations!
R&G Lounge - A Cantonese seafood spot in China town that will leave you fully satisfied!
Che Fico - A funky Italian spot on Divis. If you’re looking for vibes, look no futher!
La Mar - Looking for a venue with a view of the bay? La Mar is great option! With their Peruvian menu and allowance of up to 100 guests, this is a crowd pleasure.
Fiorella Sunset - This is one of my favorite Italian restaurants in SF (my partner and I go often!). I love the vibey space, delicious wine selection and amazing pastas and pizzas!
Foreign Cinema - An American inspired menu in the heart of the Mission. This spot has beautiful seating inside and outside on a patio.
Waterbar - Think oysters and gorgeous views of the Bay Bridge! This seafood spot along the Embarcadero has it all and definitely won’t disappoint!
Romantic restaurants for two
I might repeat myself, but these options can be perfect for an intimate dinner together!
Penny Roma - Pasta!!!!! And the cutest spot for two — this is one of my favorite date night spots in the city
The Progress - A wholistic approach to Modern Rustic cooking set in an old Silent Film Theater
Empress by Boon - An elegant yet approachable seasonal menu of modern Cantonese cooking
Trestle - Local and seasonal eats
Bar Sprezzatura - A taste of Italian culture and cuisine
Brazen Head - Cozy spot in Cow Hollow
