'The Knot' Photographer Questions, ANSWERED: Part II

Here it goes! Round two of The Knot questions, answered! If you missed Part I, start here!

How do you coordinate with my videographer? How do you envision working together?

I've worked with many different videographers over the past few years - It's always been a joy! We both do our best to stay out of each others shots & often discuss "game plans" before big moments like the ceremony!

How many weddings do you do a weekend?

I don't do more than 2! And more than often it's just one. I've never booked a "triple header" weekend and don't plan on it. I know my limits, and I know how much mental, physical and emotional energy photographing a wedding takes. And I make sure I'm at my absolute BEST for you!

Have you ever shot at my venue(s) before?

Well, this would depend! I often photograph weddings at venues I haven't been, it's not an issue! And I'm happy to do a walk-through before the wedding day if necessary.

Will you follow a shot list? Or do you prefer to have free reign to capture the festivities how you see fit?

The only shot list I require is a family shot list for formal portraits following your ceremony. Other than that, I don't typically recommend creating an in depth list. If you have a few specific requests, that's totally fine! Definitely let me know. But other than that, I will follow the structure of your timeline to guide my shots!

What are the restrictions for sharing photos online or for publication? Do you own the copyright to the photos?

Go for it! I want you to share your photos and enjoy them! I just ask that you don't alter the images in any way (ie. instagram filters, yuck!)

If you have a certain publication in mind that you'd like to see your wedding featured on, let me know and I can submit it for you!

Do you bring your own lighting?

Yup! I use an off camera flash system during your reception so your photos are well lit and clear!

What will you wear?

I definitely don't want to stand out, but I'm also all over the place and need to be in something semi comfortable. I typically wear a black dress! If your wedding is super formal, let me know and I'll wear a "fancier" black dress, haha!

Let me know if you have any other questions in the comments --> I'm happy to answer them!
