When should you book your wedding photographer? / by Hannah Byrne

Just dropping this post quick to let you know what's typical when it comes to booking!

(Spoiler alert, there really isn't really one way to do it...)

1. 4 months - 1 year before your wedding

Most couples reach out 4 months - 1 year in advance. Although, the earlier you reach out, the more likely it is that I will be available for your date! With that said, it's never too late to inquire! I booked a wedding last week for this September :)

2. I don't usually lock in weddings more than 16 months in advance, although there are always exceptions!

Life is crazy! Things change, people move, families grow! I don't usually book more than 18 months in advance because I truly don't know where I will be at that point. Keep me posted on your wedding and inquire again closer to your date!

3. If you have flexibility with your date, let me know!

If you inquire about a date that I'm already booked for but you have the ability to switch your date, let me know! I love to work with couples on finding a date that works for all their preferred vendors - don't hesitate to ask!

At the end of the day, I have couples reaching out 2 months in advance and 18 months in advance. It all depends. There is definitely no "one size fits all" when it comes to planning a wedding. When in doubt, INQUIRE! I'm always happy to answer questions and work with you!
